My good friend Andrea Syrtash is actually a dating coach! She helps people through their relationship roller coaster rides. And we all know I could use a little help, so I decided to test out her services. Watch me as I get on the couch with Andrea and she helps me change my perspective on dating. While out, I meet Janis Spindel, the highest end matchmaker! Matchmaker, meet dating coach!
Hey Ilana,
Great insight into dating. I love to see your transformed attitude. Being a coach of sorts myself - its always nice to see transformation! good content and editing as always and I love the new intro.

You're a nice looking girl, and I'm sure you have some wonderful qualities, but you come across as totally shallow. That's a real turnoff to most guys.

Ilana, Great video! You seem to have fun making them and seem like a very approachable person. I also doubt you need a "Dating Coach" with your personality. Best Wishes!!

Your advice rings true and I enjoy reading different opinions on how women react to certain situations that guys present them with. Hope to hear from you next time.

Nice video. However! Most are missing a point.
Let the dating couch go on to a street pick a guy who has all the negative points written by Ilana, couch him and get him a girl he likes, then post your video. Until then I dont see how you are a better dating couch than any average person on the street. Sorry but thats the fact. You dont help Tom cruise get his Katie holmes, you help Danny DeVito get his girl!

Nice video, hope to see more coming.
Best!

Entertaining blog post. Good production quality, but a little short on substance. That's okay though, it's a blog post, not the CBS Evening News.
My thoughts on dating coaches? I think everyone needs a kick in the butt. There are so many messages out there swirling around, helping us to make mistakes. It's good to get some third party direction once in a while.
Matchmaking...too generic for me. Not spicy enough. Takes the mystery out of the meeting. Business-like approach is just not my style.

Nice video but I have to agree with Tony Z it takes the mystery out of meeting and that is the best part.

Totally useless waste of time. You must like just seeing yourself on video and will use any excuse to do so. No dating advice/help here - at all!!

Great Video! Are you using a flipp camera when you film on site?
The burning question I have is don't you believe that allowing someone to choose for you and then introduce you to a small number of people actually limits your chances of finding the right person?
Or is it better to date a large number of people and screen for quality yourself? IN the end aren't you the best judge of that special person, and doesn't that feeling come from things that cannot be put on a list or pre-requisite checklist?
I have had friends married through GE, Its just Lunch and yes even matchmakers, but... it was always unnerving how few people they dated from those sources before settling down!
"Settling", may be what they did and in fact one awesome woman who is the spitting image of Elizabeth Hurley grabbed her last Its Just Lunch date and ended up married. Was she at the end of her dating patience or was he truly the one?

you seem quite shallow and very self absorbed. I really don't think this video offers much.

I really enjoyed this video! I think everyone could use a coach - not just for dating but to generally give them a different perspective and to show them what their life looks like from the outside. I think that's a perspective many people never really get.

Very beautiful matchmaker:) I would like to be her client before about 20 years when I really need a help:) I like the clip! I'm sure it is not so simple job as a lot of people think. I wish good luck to Andrea on what she is doing:)

I liked the video and yes the dating coach was hot, but I am not sure she could help or not. Dating requires you to get out and meet people. There is only a few rules to dating and that is dont be shy, be yourself, and always dot be afraid to make a move. That will lose you more dates. If you are unsure try, try and try. Do Online Dating! at first to meet new people. never catch yourself relying on others for dates.

Very professional looking vid, what editting software do you use?
