Join me on my trip to Thailand as I explore the inner workings and happy endings (yeah really!) of the Thai massage.

Hi Ilana,
While I find the subject matter of this video interesting I do find certain elements somewhat distracting. Namely, the slow motion shots of yourself and the narrative voice make it feel as though you are trying to seduce the audience. If that is your intention then disregard my following advice, but if not, you may want to try to change your vocal tone a bit and include more footage of the main topic.
Regards,
James

the way you addressed the transgendered woman was totally offensive. "she, or he", you said in a way that suggests deep intolerance of and ignorance toward trans individuals. if she is presenting as a woman, and identifies as a woman, then you call her a woman. you don't make some kind of snickering joke with your white, english-speaking audience about it.
also, turning such a blind and uncritical eye to western men sexually harassing thai women? come on! you actually show a clip of a man lifting up the skirt of a woman who is clearly not ok with it. the next clip is of you smiling cutely to the camera as if to say "oh well, i don't give a flying #*@%& about illegal sex trades taking advantage of these women. i'm back off to queen's!"
some pretty blithe treatment of some pretty serious stuff.
i realize you are going for a light-hearted blog, but if you're going to do so, why not just steer clear of these issues all together instead of treating them so disrespectfully.
thank you.

It's true that Thai massage has become synonymous with sex in the west which is a pity because the true Thai massage is a great technique for loosening up the body.

It's pretty funny because I went to Thailand for the first time a few months ago, and of course I could not help myself knowing that I was going to get a lot of massages..As much as I had heard and joked about the happy ending I wondered if a normal massage could be found... well I came close to it. It's true that now-a-days Thai-massages is pretty now very related to sex.. even in my 4 star hotel which I didn't except. However, when you tell the person that you only want a massage they will give you a great massage even if they do try and suggest the happy ending option. Because let's face it they know that most westerners come for that, and to top it up .. they know that they can get some extra cash for the massage with the happy ending. But I have to say... I enjoyed both ... can't help it I had to try it at least once.

Man ,you are one stupid bitch. You need to travel around more in the world and my suggestion is that you do it alone. That way you will learn to see the world differently. You are a superficial dumb arrogant bith with very little life experience.

I stayed in Thailand for 2 months and I too noticed many international men (Whites/Europeans) with Thai women. One of my Thai teachers explained to me why Thai women hook up with those men so hastily. It's because they know that the Foreigners travelling in Thailand have money, so they actually WANT to get married to them. They hope that the Foreigner(s) will accept and bring their new Thai wife back to their home country.

I have a couple of relatives who live/lived in Thailand. The ones who are no longer there say that what they miss most are the $5 massages. :)

I'm in Malaysia as I write this, and I just got my first 1-hour massage with a happy ending today. O.M.G, it was hands down the best $30 I ever spent. Ever.

I think it's refreshing that a woman admits to being open to receiving a happy ending with her massage..

Great video and information. A friend of mine visits Thailand often and take a massage table with him. He has friends in the smaller towns where he stays and massages people there.

GREAT VLOG! Best success to you. Really good editing. I love to massage video. Good to mention the health benefits of massage no matter where on the planet you are on. 90% of doctor visits are from stress related illnesses. Massage reduces stress which could lead to a healthier life. Learn about stuff allyou want, but we all should be like you and go out and LIVE.
